The Salvation Army held a dedication ceremony for the opening of the Milt Servais Learning Center and Computer Lab at the Magness-Potter Community Center that serves the Northeast Nashville community. The Salvation Army Announces New Program - Adult Rehabilitation Program and Family Thrift Stores to Close in Nashville

The Salvation Army is announcing a new transitional work placement program that will be offered to homeless men in the Nashville Community beginning June 2012. Operation Bootstraps will open its doors to homeless men, giving priority to men in recovery. The program will offer case management and life skills classes to move men from crisis situations to stability and independence.

Thanksgiving Feast Served at The Salvation Army Center of Hope

On Thursday, Nov. 24, The Salvation Army is expected to serve over 150 people a traditional turkey dinner with all the fixins' at the Dickerson Pike Center of Hope location between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Musical entertainment will be provided to our homeless friends by Tim Anderson and Judy Paster. Several volunteers will be on location to serve the meal. Shuttle service will be provided for our homeless neighbors to and from the center on Dickerson Pike.

THE SALVATION ARMY CALLS ON COMMUNITY TO ADOPT ANGELS

The Salvation Army Nashville Area Command accepted 17,000 individual requests for Angel Tree assistance during the month of October, an unprecedented number of requests which sets the record for the largest number ever in the history of the Nashville Angel Tree program.
