NASHVILLE, TENN - The Salvation Army Nashville Area Command is kicking off its annual Angel Tree Christmas Assistance Program that will start with client application on October 4th, 2012.
Tree program is celebrating its 30th year of serving children and
seniors in the Nashville area”, explained Lt. Col. Charles White, Nashville Area
Commander of The Salvation Army and cofounder of the Angel Tree program. “My wife and I started the Angel Tree program back
in the late 1970’s in Lynchburg, Virginia and when we were transferred to
Nashville in 1982 we brought the successful program with us. We are delighted
to see the success this program has had for 30 years, but none of this is
possible without the financial support from the community.”
