Christmas Kickoff ~ Press Event ~ featuring Christmas Spokeswoman, Emmylou Harris

Location: The Ryman Auditorium, 116 Fifth Ave North, Nashville
Details: The media and special guests are invited to join The Salvation Army as we kick-off our Christmas Angel Tree and Kettle campaigns. Country singer, EmmyLou Harris, will speak on behalf of the Army in addition to other various community leaders and Army Officers. The Nashville Choir will be in the house to bring Christmas cheer in addition to children from our Kare for Kids program and representatives from The Salvation Army Advisory Board and corporate sponsors. Angel Tree Adoptions
Date: November 7th - December 5th
Time: Sunday - Saturday during Mall hours
Locations: The Mall at Green Hills, RiverGate Mall, Cools Springs Galleria and Hickory Hollow Mall
Details: Come visit one of our Angel Tree Booths located at one of the four area malls. Adopt a child and return gifts November 7th - December 5th (the earlier the better), so your gifts can be distributed to your Angel before Christmas. Volunteers are needed to coordinate Angel Adoptions at the mall booths. Call Matt Vamvas at 242-0411 ext 223 to volunteer.
Talk and Tour

Thanksgiving Fest

Breakfast Brigade Homeless Feeding
Date: Every Tuesday
Time: 8:30 a.m. - 9:15 a.m.
Location: East Nashville Cooperative Ministry, 807 Main St. Nashville
Details: Join us as we serve the homeless in our community. To volunteer, call Matt Vamvas 242-0411.
Soup Wagon Homeless Feeding
Date: Every Friday Evening
Time: 6:00 p.m. - 7:15 p.m.
Location: Volunteers meet at Area Command at 5:15 p.m. Canteen is positioned under Jefferson St. Bridge, Nashville
