THE SALVATION ARMY RESPONDS TO TORNADOES IN SALINE & WHITE COUNTIES, ARKANSAS
Central Arkansas- In response to the tornadoes that ripped through Saline and White Counties, The Salvation Army Central Arkansas Area Command has dispatched a canteen (mobile feeding unit) to provide relief to the first responders at the disaster sites.
"We are packed with sandwiches, drinks, and snacks to help fuel the clean-up effort," said Sid Page, director of The Salvation Army of Saline County.
At 10:00 AM today, the canteen went to an area along HWY 5 in Saline County where dozens of workers are busy cleaning the area of overturned trees and debris. This afternoon, the canteen will relocate to White County to provide additional relief to workers at that site. |
