THE SALVATION ARMY PROVIDING COMPASSION AND CARE TO ALABAMA COMMUNITIES FOLLOWING MASS SHOOTING

<p><em>Dothan, Ala. </em>Throughout the late evening hours and early morning of 
March 10 and 11,  The Salvation Army disaster response team from Dothan, 
Alabama responded throughout portions of southeast Alabama to communities 
coping with the shock of a shooting spree that has left nine deceased and many 
others searching for answers. 
<br /><br />One disaster response team has served coffee and meals to law 
enforcement personnel throughout the night. Additionally, Lieutenant Jonathan 
Howell of The Salvation Army in Dothan has been providing emotional and 
spiritual support to law enforcement officers and residents searching for 
answers in the midst of tragedy. <br /><br /> &ldquo;As these communities 
search for answers and begin the grieving process, The Salvation Army is 
seeking to be a calming and uplifting presence to residents of Geneva and 
Coffee counties,&rdquo; emphasized Lieutenant Jonathan Howell of The Salvation 
Army in Dothan. &ldquo;Our hearts, prayers and hands go out to the families and 
victims of Tuesday&rsquo;s shootings.&rdquo; <br /><br /> The Salvation Army 
will continue emotional and spiritual support to first responders and residents
