OKLAHOMA CITY - The Salvation Army of Ardmore, Oklahoma has deployed it's
mobile canteen and disaster crew to a staging site in Southern Oklahoma where
emergency responders are convening to fight numerous wildfires that have broke
out this evening.
Captain Ernest Hull, Ardmore Corps Officer, while on the phone and
reporting, states "We are in the middle of at least three or four wildfires.
The wind is gusting and picking up in speed. As each gust comes, we can see
very large flames take to the skies."
The canteen is currently providing hydration, in the form of Gatorade,
Water, Coffee and other beverages, as well as providing snacks. It is
anticipated it could be at an all night stand as the fires are not contained
and continue to grow. The Army's response will continue until they are no

continue to help the victims of the Lone Grove tornado that took eight lives
and destroyed 118 homes earlier this month.
Financial donations continue to be needed to support relief efforts in the
area. The Salvation Army asks those who want to help the individual and

Monetary donations will ensure The Salvation Army can meet the most immediate
needs of those impacted by the recent disasters.
