The Salvation Army of Annapolis and Southern Maryland has been serving their community since 1885.
The services that are offered by the Salvation Army are geared for the guidance, personal growth and uplifting support of the community. The Salvation Army offers a great child-care program. The Child Development Center at Salvation Army is not simply babysitting. These child-care professionals offer early education so that your child can begin learning at a young age. Children are definitely capable of learning things that they are taught in kindergarten much earlier in life. That is why Salvation Army, located in Annapolis at 351 Hilltop Lane, phone (410) 263-4091, offers an early education curriculum.
The teachers will instruct your child in numbers, letters, how to make letter sounds and much more. Since school curriculums at higher levels such as elementary and middle school are now more demanding, it is important for your child to get a jump-start. Once they have a strong foundation, they will feel much more confident when they go to school.
In addition, the Salvation Army offers an indoor soccer program (during the Winter and Summer Months), emergency services, food assistance, utility and rental assistance, disaster relief, a nursing home visitation program, and Thanksgiving and Christmas toy and food drives for families. The services of the heart are done by the many wonderful men and women who have dedicated their lives to helping others. Worship, education and fellowship for youth and adults for spiritual growth are available through the Corps Programming. The Salvation Army and the men and women of the Annapolis and south Anne Arundel County can't do all of this without the continuous help and support of each and every one of the individuals throughout the community. We take this opportunity to thank you for all your support of clothes, outreach, monetary donations and for those who have experienced the Salvation Army difference in their lives or knows someone who has. Great job and good luck.
When it comes time to find childcare or an activity for your child or you are in need, call the Salvation Army, where you will be uplifted. For the child-care program or their gym that is available for rental for upcoming events such as a birthday or Christmas party or for organizations and clubs, call (410) 263-4091. They will be happy to go over rates and invite you for a complimentary tour of their facility.
