Salvation Army Begins Second Phase of Georgia Flood Recovery Efforts

Salvation Army Begins Second Phase of Georgia Flood Recovery Efforts

(Atlanta, September 24, 2009) As part of its ongoing Georgia Flood Disaster Relief efforts, The Salvation Army will be distributing clean-up kits, toiletry kits, bottled water, and food boxes to victims of the recent Georgia Floods.

Those residing in flood-affected areas may visit the following locations Saturday and Sunday September 26th and September 27th, from 1pm-4pm.

Applicants must have a valid photo id and show proof of residence in flood affected areas to receive assistance. Only one applicant may apply per household.

Additionally, The Salvation Army will continue providing hot meals and beverages from its Disaster Canteens in affected areas.
