Salvation Army Disaster Teams Aid Thousands after Georgia Floods
Since the onset of the September 21 Georgia Floods, The Salvation Army has assisted thousands of individuals through its Disaster Canteens, and Metro Atlanta Area Disaster Assistance Centers.
Eleven Georgia, North and South Carolina Disaster Canteens provided hot meals, bottled water,cleanup kits and comfort to first respondents and residents in flood-affected communities.
The Salvation Army six Disaster Assistance Centers also distributed foodboxes, cleanup kits, food and clothing vouchers and giftcards to victims in Federally Declared Disaster areas.
We are continuing to provide service through our remaining Disaster Assistance Centers. Those locations and hours are listed at www.salvationarmyatlanta.org.
