<p>The Wachovia Foundation awarded the Baltimore Area Command of the Salvation
Army $5,000 on July 30, 2009, to
support its Franklin Square Boys and Girls Club program.</p>
<p>The programs at the Franklin Square Boys and Girls Club aim to enhance
the lives of at-risk youth between the ages of 6 and 18 in the Baltimore area.
The club offers the children an opportunity to interact with others in a
structured and supervised environment. The goal of the Club's many programs is
to prepare children and teenagers for a successful transition into 
adulthood.</p>
<p>The mission of The Wachovia Foundation is to build strong and vibrant
communities, improve the quality of life, and make a positive difference.</p>
