Carroll organizations are receiving more requests than ever for food
assistance, and not all are easily keeping up with the demand.
Janice Veney, director of the Salvation Army of Carroll County, said there
has been a record-high request for food this summer that has not been met with
increased food or money donations to help the organization buy from the
Maryland Food Bank, its main supplier.
