TARGET AND SALVATION ARMY TEAM UP
TO
PROVIDE STUDENTS WITH BACK-TO-SCHOOL SUPPLIES
On August 10, thanks to the generosity of Target and the Salvation Army, 90
local students in four Baltimore Target stores were presented with $80 Target
gift cards and a Salvation Army chaperone to select backpacks, calculators,
pens/pencils, art supplies, binders, clothing and other necessities to ready
them for the school year. The Salvation Army and Target teamed up for the
Target School Spree to provide each child, selected by The Salvation Army, with
the opportunity to purchase school supplies. The students included 30 homeless
children from Booth House, a Salvation Army shelter, and 60 from area Boys and
Girls Clubs.
