The Feedmore Mobile Feeding Program

Since 1987, The Salvation Army (TSA) Feedmore mobile feeding unit has hit the streets six nights a week during the winter months to provide hot, healthy meals to Baltimore City's homeless and impoverished. The Feedmore "canteen" serves members of the community near the Baltimore Rescue Mission on Central Avenue. Feedmore's uniqueness is that basic necessities are brought directly to those in need.

Volunteers, Advisory and Auxiliary organization members, community service clubs, and church groups are invited to serves as volunteers. Each guest of the mass feedings is provided a hot meal and a warm welcome, while allowing TSA staff to assess their immediate and unmet needs for the purpose of providing additional resources through other TSA programs.

In addition to meals, Feedmore volunteers provide health care information, clothing items, warm blankets and toiletries to those in need.

Donations and volunteers for Feedmore are greatly needed and appreciated. Please contact Peggy Vick at 410-783-2920.
