The Salvation Army Booth House
Booth House is a 24-hour emergency and transitional housing facility for area women, children and families. Consisting of a 57 bed, 30-day residency emergency shelter and a 19 bed, 2 year residency transitional housing unit, the facility provides a safe, comfortable environment for those working to rebuild their lives. Handicapped accessible with a wheelchair ramp and elevator, the facility also houses a full kitchen where on-site cooks provide three meals a day for all residents. The Booth House is an effective, cost efficient, comprehensive shelter program, which brings together community organizations and resources from throughout the Greater Baltimore Metropolitan area. The Booth House provides a qualified professional staff consisting of social workers, a Director, a Caseworker, a Life Skills trainer, Monitor Personnel, Maintenance staff, Cooks, and a Shelter Specialist on site.
