FAMILY EMERGENCY SERVICE
Offering basic human needs assistance at no cost or refund.
From food, rent, utilities, to clothing, footwear, incidental household items, to transportation help in specific cases, furniture as available, to various types of sundry requests.
This program operates five days weekly, 52 weeks a year. Requires personal interview, Income Statement, and receipts of expenditures for the past 30 days. Service is on a first-come first-served basis.
INSTITUTIONAL VISITATION
Friendly visits made to shut-ins on a monthly basis. Leaving reading materials, remembrances, and if requested, offering prayer and Bible reading.
CAPEHART HEART/CANCER/PROSTATE SCREENINGS
Administered by the Staff of Charleston Area Medical Center at no cost. Sponsored by The Salvation Area through a gift from the Marguerite Capehart Estate.
SERVICE CENTERS (Spencer/Roane County, Putnam County)
Offering emergency/temporary basic human needs assistance, weekly Monday-Friday.
CHRISTMAS ASSISTANCE
Meeting emergency needs of families in the holiday season through:
1. Traditional Toy Shop
2. Angel Tree - a donor driven program.
Provided for specific children and senior citizens.
3. Christmas Dinners by Vouchers
4. Remembrances & Gifts to Institutional Shut-ins.
