How can you help Haiti?
|
Many have asked, "How can we help here in the Carolinas?" Logistics make it impossible to accept donated goods such as food or clothing. Our Haiti team has asked us to request monetary donations.
The Salvation Army began a presence in Haiti in 1950 and operates schools, clinics, a hospital, feeding programs, and children's
homes through 60 community centers across the country.
We have partnered with WCNC to raise funds locally that will be sent immediately to bring hope, healing, and life's basic necessities to suffering men, women, and children. Would you please consider making a gift today?

The Salvation Army is mobilizing resources and personnel to assist with the international relief effort in Haiti, following the severe earthquake Tuesday that damaged much of the country's infrastructure, housing, and commercial buildings.
The Salvation Army World Services Office, based in Alexandria, VA, has begun the process of getting food, water, and other emergency supplies to assist in the recovery. More than 150,000 pounds of pre-packaged emergency rations is being sent, along with disaster relief teams. As with all such relief efforts, The Salvation Army will be a part of the initial emergency response while assessing longer-term needs of Haitians.
