The Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary
Charlotte area women making a difference
Founded in 1945, The Salvation Army of Greater Charlotte Women's Auxiliary has been an active part of our community. The Women's Auxiliary continues to function as a fund-raising and volunteer service group, assisting The Salvation Army with its programs. The Auxiliary also works in cooperation with The Salvation Army Advisory Board to assist with Salvation Army activities in the area.
The Salvation Army believes in "meeting the need at the point of need" and the Auxiliary is right there; serving meals for homeless women and children, providing scholorships to students who might otherwise not have an opportunity to attend college, hosting parties for children at the Boys & Girls Clubs, and bringing smiles and hugs to folks in nursing homes.
Christmastime is also a very important time for The Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary. Members take part in making sure that over 11,000 children have a filled stocking at their homes on this most precious day.
We invite you to become a member of The Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary today and help us continue to make a difference in the lives of our less fortunate neighbors here in the Charlotte area.
