| The Salvation Army opened its doors on February 12, 1912. Those doors have yet to close. |

| 100 years strong, The Salvation Army's Charlottesville Corps will celebrate its centennial throughout the year 2012. Planned events include a large celebration on May 4th at the Main Street Arena at the Downtown Mall, complete with The Salvation Army's national band, classic Salvation Army treats and historical photographs. In addition to the May celebration, our advisory board has created a Centennial Circle of Caring with the goal of raising $100,000 by the end of the year. |
