Founded in 1879 in London, likely taken from the Salvation Army chorus "Ever is our war cry, victory!," the Salvation Army's War Cry is a weekly magazine published by the Army itself, focusing on various events within the organization. While the circulation of the first issue in 1879 was 17,000 worldwide, the current volumes of the magazine are published in over 117 countries.
