Families in Crisis

The Salvation Army is known for helping people in times of disaster. But, families in the Metroplex face a variety of crises:

  • Single, working-poor parents can't find affordable child-care.
  • Domestic violence.
  • Lack of adequate income prevents many families from providing school supplies and Christmas gifts for their children.

The Salvation Army believes the core unit of society is the family. For the thousands of families living in poverty, we provide a range of emergency assistance to help them through crisis situations.

This includes not only financial assistance but a range of other support opportunities, including a homelessness-prevention program that helps those on the verge of losing everything to stay in their homes.

Our sincere appreciation to the
Mary Kay Ash Charitable Foundation
for their gift to our domestic violence program.
