The Salvation Army in Arlington held a volunteer recognition banquest on Thursday, February 19, to recognize a company, a church, and a few individuals for their volunteer efforts in 2008.

Captain Andy Miller, Corps Officer; Dan and Linda Dipert; and Dixon Holman, Advisory Council Chairman for The Salvation Army in Arlington. Mr. Dipert was named emeritus member of The Salvation Army's Advisory Council at the banquet.

Olenjack's Grille was recognized as Company of the Year. Representing Olenjack's were Bill and Shari Bowie, Sue and Paul Wilhide, and Adam Jones.

Captain Andy Miller gave a report about the success of the recent Christmas season, as well as an update on his new son, Titus, who was born two days earlier.

Millie Hinson was presented a runner-up award for the Dallas Cowboys Community Quarterback Award by Captain Andy Miller, Major Rick Raymer, and Dixon Holman.

Major Brenda Raymer with Farris and Jetty Little, left and right above, who received awards for being Youth Volunteers of the Year. Farris and Jetty offered dedicated assistance to their disabled mother who served as a bell ringer during the Christmas season.
