How to Fundraise for the Salvation Army
You can help The Salvation Army continue Doing the Most Good in the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex by planning and/or sponsoring an event to raise funds to help families, children and individuals in crisis. These guidelines provide clarity so all participating parties are clear on their role and responsibilities.
Two Types of Third-Party Fundraising Programs
- Event Fundraising: A group or individual can host an event or sponsor an activity and designate the DFW Metroplex Command as the beneficiary. For example: An organization hosts a golf outing and gives the Command a check for the net profits.
- Piggy-back Fundraising: You can "piggy back" on an existing event and turn it into a fundraiser. For example: A company has an annual party and asks their employees to bring donations of new clothing or toys for The Salvation Army or a city has an annual marathon and the sponsor offers registrants the opportunity to get pledges for The Salvation Army. The fundraiser then contacts The Salvation Army about the clothing, toys or check.
