THE SALVATION ARMY MISSION STATEMENT

"The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination."

About Us

The Salvation Army "opened fire" in Fairfax County, Virginia as an outpost under the leadership of Lieutenant Everett Leonard on October 3, 1956. It was located in the community of Falls Church.

Today the Corps is an active force for Christ in Fairfax County with a large range of program designed to meet the needs of hurting people.

We meet each Sunday for Worship with between 70 and 100 other Salvationists.
