"The 2013 MOST Amazing Race" is presented by AutoNation.  

The MOST Amazing Race will take teams of two on a large scale adventure race around Fort Lauderdale. From the starting line, Ameroca's Backyard, teams will receive a clue leading them to a checkpoint somewhere in the city. Upon arriving at the various checkpoints, teams will be required to complete a challenge in order to receive the next clue. Challenges may involve tedious activities, trivia contests, food dares and may be physically or mentally demanding. Racers must travel on foot, Broward County busses or Sun Trolley. Any other means of transportation will result in disqualification.

Teams of two can be made up of friends, couples, co-workers or relatives. The event attracts philanthropic people who love a challenge, are smart, fun, fit and ready for adventure.

The first team to reach the finish line will win the grand prize of $3,000. The second place prize is $1000. The third place prize is two Nike GPS sport watches.

There are chances to win before race day by fundraising with your personalized webpage. Our top fundrasing team will win the grand prize of two iPad minis!!!

The top fund raising team will be determined by donation totals as of 11:59 PM on Thursay April 4.  The top 3 fund raising teams will win advantages in the race as well.

What:

Teams of two race around Fort Lauderdale, solving clues to find various checkpoints. Once you get to the checkpoints, you must complete a task before moving on to the next checkpoint. These checkpoint challenges may test you mentally or physically or might just be downright silly. The first team to successfully complete all of the challenges and cross the finish line is the winner.

When:

Saturday, April 6, 2013. The starting line is at America's Backyard, 100 SW 3rd Ave, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33312. Teams must check in by 10:00 AM. In past years, the fastest teams crossed the finish line by 3:00 PM, with slower teams arriving as late as 5:00 PM.

Why:

The MOST Amazing Race is a fund raising event benefiting Plymouth Colony, The Salvation Army's homeless shelter for families and children, including pregnant women and their newborns. Fund raising teams will compete for great prizes and race day advantages.

Registration: (Registration opens February 15th, 2013)

Teams must consist of two people ages 18 and older. There is a $50 registration fee per team ($25.00 per person). To be eligible to compete in the race, teams must raise a minimum of $200 by April 4 at 11:59pm. The $50 registration fee does not count toward your team fundraising total.

Each participant will receive a race T-shirt and an invitation to our post-race party at America's Backyard.

By registering online, you will have the opportunity to use our easy and convenient online fundraising tool. Once your team has registered, you can go to the unique webpage we will have built for you and fundraise online. In just a few minutes, your team will be registered and ready to go.

Fundraising:**

Teams must raise a minimum of $200 (in addition to the $50 registration fee) by Thursday April 4 at 11:59 pm to be eligible to participate in the race. Teams may fundraise using our convenient online system. Donations and the race registration fee are tax deductible.

**All mailed or dropped off funds must be received by April 3, and online funds must be received by April 4 at 11:59 p.m. to qualify.

*Participants are responsible for paying taxes on prizes received. *Please note, teams are not eligible to win the grand prize more than three times. *Salvation Army employees and their immediate families are not eligible to participate in this event.
