Majors Art & Ann Penhale

Our Corps Officers are Majors Art and Ann Penhale. They have two children. Son Paul is 19 years old and is a sophomore at the University of South Florida. Their daughter Sarah is 16 and will attend Fort Myers High School.
The Penhales have dedicated over 50 combined years as commanding officers with The Army, serving together first in Portsmouth, Virginia, then in Atlanta, Georgia training new officers, followed by a post in Montgomery, Alabama.
From Alabama, they served as Divisional Youth Leaders and Camping Directors, first in the Maryland/West Virginia division and then in Tampa for the Florida division. Major Art, born and raised in West Palm Beach, Florida, has been a member of The Salvation Army church his entire life. He met Ann while serving as the Corps Officer in Paris, Texas. Major Ann is a native of Hattiesburg, Mississippi and holds a degree in music education from the University of Southern Mississippi. Both are thrilled with their new appointment and are looking forward to being a part of the community outreach and ministry.
