MUSIC INSTRUCTION (Brass instruments)

We are excited to announce a Free Music Education class! Starting April 4th, and we will be offering two months of instruction before the summer, at which time we will take a break until the fall season. The typical Music Lesson is valued $25.00 per person, per lesson. Brass instruments have an average rental fee of $45.00 per school year. The value of two months of instruction plus free use of instruments is: $300.00+ per student! For that reason, we will be expecting student's parents to provide their transportation; and to pay a $1.00 due on each Wednesday to offset the costs of camps that offer further music education, which we hope to send them to when they are ready. We are planning to send the most dedicated members of our Brass Band to camp this summer for FMI - Florida Music Institute. FMI is a one-week camp that focuses on music education and offers the opportunity to perform along-side other Salvation Army musicians.

  • Brass Instrument and Singing 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

  • Brass Instrument Rehearsal, 6:30 pm - 7:15 pm

We will also be expecting parents to help out by providing mouthpiece's for the instrument their child uses, (roughly a $20.00 expense) which they will keep.

The Guitar Instruction project is not ready yet. Sponsors are needed!

-For any questions feel free to call and ask for our Youth Director, Joseph Cohen.
