Social Services
From the very beginning The Salvation Army's leaders were worried with the situation in which their members were living. Gradually, they mixed preaching and service, as parts of the same mission. Some specific campaigns to attack social problem in east of London gave the movement the tools to discover needs, design strategies to meet those needs and the wisdom to create programs whenever they were necessary and close them when they became obsolete.
Those are the origins of our Social Services.
Today. in order to make our Social Services more efficient, the Salvation Army separate it from any other Ministry. In it are enclosed every one of the program of assistance.
