ABOUT THE CENTER
The Houston, Texas, Adult Rehabilitation Center is a long-term residential care facility that serves as home to 150 men who are seeking a new direction and purpose in life.
The center offers a safe, Christian environment where men can work to restore and rebuild their self-image through counseling, work therapy, life skills courses, spiritual guidance and a renewed sense of self-worth. Residents are also offered literacy and basic computer training that will help them to resume their place in the community with the skills necessary to seek gainful employment.
All of these services are provided at no charge.
Once a man has completed the 9- month program, he is given the opportunity to qualify for our Transitional Living Residence, which offers continued support and guidance as he makes the all important transition into independent living.
It is the goal of the ARC to provide each man the foundation and skills necessary to deal with the daily challenges of life with a renewed sense of spirit and discipline.
