Loneliness is a serious problem that no medicine can cure. This is evident in hospitals, convalescent and nursing homes, correctional institutions, veteran's medical centers, and children's homes. The Salvation Army formed the Community Care to help alleviate such suffering.
Community Care is a visitation program that connects volunteers and Salvation Army officers and soldiers to those with special needs in hospitals, nursing homes on Tuesday and Thursdays. Contact the Corps Officer at 256-536-5576 X 18 for scheduling.
