The Jackson Corps is located at 110 Presto Ln, just off State Street. The Family Store, social services, Center of Hope, Learning Center, and administration offices are all located at this one location, central to Metro Jackson.
The Center of Hope is The Salvation Army's transitional and emergency housing facility for the Jackson Metro Area. The Center contains 72 beds, a fully functional kitchen where clients receive a warm breakfast and hot dinner, recreation room, offices for the caseworkers, and dining and activity area. Monitors check clients in and out on a nightly basis and ensure no dangerous persons enter this Christian facility.
The Center of Hope is designed to help those suffering from addictions, people who are losing their way in society, those recently released from institutions, the homeless, the tired, and the weary. We have a structured program that helps our clients establish goals and help them work to achieve those goals while aiding them to transition out of a cycle of poverty and into a self-sustainable lifestyle.
The Family Store has re-opened to the community. The store is open Monday through Saturday from 8:30a.m. to 5:15 p.m. for both shopping and dropping off donations.
Donations can be dropped off on the right side of the building during normal business hours or left by the recepticals after hours.
You may also schedule a donation pick-up by calling 601-948-0737 or email Gerald Snell at gerald_snell@uss.salvationarmy.org.
Within 48 hours one of our donation pick-up trucks will come to your residence or business and retrieve the items you wish to donate (some restrictions apply, please call for information on large items).
Please take advantage of this a service provided to you free of charge by the Metro Jackson Salvation Army.
