Corps Cadets Take Mission Trip

Spring break is a time of fun. At The Salvation Army, spring break is also about giving.
During spring break 2005, The Salvation Army Corps Cadets (Youth Bible Study Group) took a few days of their time and gave to children in shelters in Mexico. Combining with the Corps Cadets of the Harlingen, TX Corps, 10 young people and 4 adults spent a weekend in mission, bringing toys and cheer to children in need. They also helped paint portions of the children's shelter giving the children a home bright and cheerful.

Corps Spiritual Retreat
October, 2004
Earlier this fall, 72 friends and soldiers of The Salvation Army gathered together for a time of reflection and spiritual growth. Following the theme of "Come Away" based on Mark 6:22, individuals were invited to come away to the quietness of the camp and grow closer to God.
The weekend include Bible Study by Christian author and speaker Debbie Williams, special music and motivation by Majors Willis and Barbara Howell of Divisional Headquarters in Dallas, TX, and youth programs and music by Ms. Roberta Osmond, Texas Divisional Gospel Arts Director.
