Pilot Food Marts Offering Paper Red Kettles 21/11/2012
Knoxville, TN Pilot Flying J is once again teaming up with The Salvation Army this Christmas to bolster the organization's fundraising efforts. Starting this week and running through Christmas, customers at Pilot Food Marts can contribute to The Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign by purchasing a paper Red Kettle at any Pilot Food Mart location in Knoxville. The Red Kettles are sold for $1 each.
The program, now in its sixth year, raised $35,000 for The Salvation Army in 2011.
“Pilot Flying J is a great example of generosity and compassion and a wonderful partner to us at The Salvation Army,” said Area Commander, Major Albert Villafuerte. “We’re thrilled to partner with them again for the Red Kettle Campaign.”
In addition to funding The Salvation Army’s annual Christmas charities, money raised through the sale of the paper kettles will help fund local programs and services all year round. For more information call 525-9401 or visit SalvationArmyKnoxvlle.org.
