cre8Knoxville, TN – May 4, 2012 – A Church Called Home, in partnership with Innovo Publishing, is hosting CRE8, a Christian creative writing conference in Knoxville, Tennessee. The two-day, high-impact conference will be held May 18-19 in The Remedy Backroom, the unique conference accommodations inside Remedy Coffee at 125 W. Jackson Avenue. The conference is free of charge as a benefit to the community; however, participants will have an opportunity to give, and all proceeds will benefit The Salvation Army's Knoxville Area Command.

"We want A Church Called Home to add value to our community and invest in the dreams of others," says founding pastor Jason Creech. "We hope this conference will accomplish that—not only by providing valuable resources to our local creative community but also through our strategic partnership with The Salvation Army."

A Church Called Home welcomes published and aspiring authors and artists seeking to glorify Christ through publishing Christian books, ebooks, audiobooks, music, film, and video across all Christian genres. In addition to networking with successful Christian authors, participants will have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with representatives from Christian publisher, Innovo Publishing.

Those interested in attending the conference are urged to pre-register online at A Church Called Home (www.churchcalledhome.com) or at Innovo Publishing (www.innovopublishing.com). Participants who register before May 14, 2012, and upload a qualifying manuscript will receive a free, written editorial review and publishing readiness assessment of their work and be eligible to win a $1000 dollar publishing scholarship for best manuscript (see rules and eligibility requirements upon registering).

“If you love Jesus Christ, have an interest in Christian writing, music, or media, and have a dream for publishing, the CRE8 Creative Writing conference is for you.” said Dr. Bart Dahmer, Founder and Managing Partner of Innovo Publishing LLC. “

About A Church Called Home: Someone once said, “The hardest thing to find in a home today is a family.” The members of a healthy home pray together, invite friends over, support one another, and are committed to each other’s well-being. Whether you come from a great home, a terrible home or no home at all – home (family) is something God has placed in the heart of each of us.  And the way we see it, a healthy church should resemble a healthy home. The Bible constantly compares the church to a family – God is our Heavenly Father, we are His children. Our vision is to create environments that look, feel and function like a healthy home.  Times and locations of our gatherings are listed on our web site.  A Church Called Home launches September 9th in the Halls Cinema 7 in North Knoxville.  To find out more visit us online at www.churchcalledhome.com.
