Knoxville, TN Pilot Flying J is once
again teaming up with The Salvation Army this Christmas to bolster the
organization's fundraising efforts. Starting
this week and running through Christmas, customers at Pilot Food Marts can
contribute to The Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign by purchasing a
paper
Red Kettle at any Pilot Food Mart location in Knoxville. The Red Kettles are
sold for $1
each.
The program, now in its sixth year, raised $35,000 for The
Salvation Army in 2011.
“Pilot Flying J is a great example of generosity and
compassion and a wonderful partner to us at The Salvation Army,” said Area
Commander, Major Albert Villafuerte. “We’re thrilled to partner
with them again
for the Red Kettle Campaign.”
In addition to funding The Salvation Army’s annual
Christmas
charities, money raised through the sale of the paper kettles will help fund
