For more than 90 years, The Salvation Army in Lakeland has been a beacon of light to families throughout Polk County. Now The Salvation Army Advisory Board is taking a visionary step to build The George w. Jenkins Community of hope, an innovative project where struggling families can overcome homelessness and rebuild their lives. This bold initiative creates one campus where quality programming can be provided in a safe, encouraging neighborhood to assist families who face the crisis of homelessness.
The George W. Jenkins Community of Hope is a transformational campaign to create a spirit of hope for homeless families and children in Lakeland and Polk County.
With God's help, The Salvation Army is transforming families for an independent future.
If you are interested in supporting this project and would like to help make this vision a reality, please contact Susan Hurlburt at (863) 559-2879 or email at LakelandHope@uss.SalvationArmy.org.
