Volunteering at The Salvation Army can be one of the most rewarding things you can do with your spare time. Volunteers play an important role in The Salvation Army programs. We couldn't do it without you.
During the year, volunteers help around the office, help serve during our breakfast program, and serve once a week in our Senior Luncheon program. Some help out with children programs (we must run a background check on anyone who wants to work with children). There is a multitude of ways to help out.  Breakfast Volunteers
GFWC Woman's Club of Leesburg  During the Christmas season we have many opportunities in a multitude of places for ringing a bell at one of our Red Kettles. We take reservations for spots & times all year long in preparation for the Christmas Season. For more information on our Red Kettle Campaign and how to volunteer, click here.

Our EDS (Emergency Disaster Services) Unit is usually taken out and manned by volunteers. This is essentially a mobile kitchen (canteen) that is used during emergencies like: fire, flooding, tornadoes, hurricanes, etc. We take the canteens into neighborhoods that have been damaged or have no electricity and cook meals (free of charge) for people who are unable to cook or have no food. At times we take it out for other activities like the Annual Motorcycle Toy Run. It's a very rewarding experience. For more information on volunteering for our EDS Unit, please click here.
