The Salvation Army has a variety of opportunites available for those wanting to Do the Most Good in their communities.
Whether you're an individual with a heart to change someone's life or looking for a way to change your own, The Salvation Army can use your help. Citizens of every community on the Gulf Coast, from every walk of life, can greatly expand the scope of The Salvation Army's service by volunteering. Volunteers coach, clean, inspire, show compassion, change lives and continue to spread the mission of The Salvation Army.

The Salvation Army Family Store (Coming Soon)
Volunteers are needed to help organize and sort through items donated such as clothing, furniture, shoes, books, home décor and more. Volunteers welcome anytime.
Harrison County
Assist with Food Pantry, Community Fellowship, Social Services
Administrative Office Work
Volunteers are needed occasionally throughout the year to help with a variety of office duties. These duties may include computer work, receptionist duties, copying, answer phone, making calls, organization of can foods, mail outs, etc.
Center of Hope
Assistance with Shelter Operations- Volunteers are needed every evening from 4pm-Midnight
Assistance with Cooling Stations- Volunteers are needed every day from 1:30pm-4:30pm to provide a cooling station at the Pascagoula Center
Food Pantry- Volunteers are needed Monday through Friday from 8am-4pm to assist with sorting and restocking the food pantry shelves
Answering Phones- Volunteers are needed to answer phones Monday through Friday 8am-4pm.
Kroc Center
Opportunities include athletics, fitness, nurtition, aquatics, music, art, theatre, dance, data entry, play care, and so much more.
October 4th - December 10th - "Santa's Stockings"
We need volunteers to take our red mesh stockings and fill them with appropriate toys for the children. Our goal is to get enough stockings filled and returned to provide each of the recipients of the "Angel Tree" program with a stocking as well.
October 15th - 26th "Angel Tree" Registration
More than 10,000 children were served by the "Angel Tree" program in 2011. During registration week parents apply for Christmas assistance through an interview process. Qualified Volunteers are needed to interview parents and enter information in the database.
October 27th "2nd Annual Boo Bash"
The RJKCCC provides "Boo Bash" to the community as an alternative choice for Halloween. Inflatables, games, food and fun are the highlight of this event. Volunteers are needed to help with every facet of this event.
Nov. 19th - December 24th "Red Kettle Campaign"
The "Red Kettle Campaign" is the iconic feature of The Salvation Army that is loved by people all over the world. Thousands of volunteers are needed to help "ring our bells". Churches, sports groups, businesses and families are encouraged to give some time at our "Red Kettles" to help support our efforts in the community.
November 1st - December 21st "Distribution Center"
As the community gives to support our "Angel Tree" program & as gifts pour in, hundreds of volunteers are needed to help sort, package and prepare those gifts for the "Angel Tree" recipients.
December 1st - 19th "Angel Drivers"
As the community gives to support our "Angel Tree" program & as gifts pour in, volunteers are needed to help pick up those gifts and return them to the Distribution Center.
December 19th - 21st "Angel Tree Distribution Day"
"Angel Tree" recipients will arrive on these days to pick up their toys. Literally hundreds of volunteers are needed to make this day a success.
