Center of Hope

Our center is dedicated to helping men, women and families overcome the situations and conditions that have brought them to our shelter.

Individualized case plans guide clients to benefits and services for which they may be eligible. Our program takes residents from dependency to independency through work, education, training and skills development.

Staff is available to guide, advocate and make referrals to private and public resources. Individuals have access to mail, telephone, classified ads, showers, and clothing from our Thrift Store. The center is conveniently located on a bus route. These are all key in gaining employment, which leads to self sufficiency.

Description: The Center of Hope shelters homeless men, women and children who are in need of a safe place to sleep. Gated and locked facilities are monitored in house by staff on surveillance equipment. Alcohol and weapons screening and curfew enforced.

Services include case management, meals, clothing, personal hygiene items, religious services (optional), as well as referrals for additional services such as GED, job training, budget counseling, mental health services, chemical addiction programs as determined in case management.  We also refer individuals and families to Montgomery Housing Authority, the Department of Human Resources, the Montgomery Health department, the Lister Hill Clinic and other resources as appropriate and necessary.
