Majors Dan and Francina Proctor

Majors Dan Proctor and Francina Proctor joined The Salvation Army Naples Regional Coordinate in June 2013 after serving as leaders of the Central Oklahoma Command in Oklahoma City for four years.  The son of Salvation Army officer parents, Major Proctor was born in Miami, Florida but moved with family regularly and graduated from Abilene High School in Texas.  He also graduated from Trinity International University with a degree in Communication.  Major Proctor attended Salvation Army College for Officer Training in Atlanta, being commissioned and ordained in The Salvation Army in 1978.

Major Dan has a passion for music. Having played Baritone and Euphonium in The Salvation Army Southern Territorial Band in the USA for 38 years, performing in the US, Brazil, Russia, Scotland and the United Kingdom, including performing at the Royal Albert Hall in London on two separate occasions, he was also Principal Euphonium with The Salvation Army National Capital Band, performing in the US, Canada, Switzerland, and France. He played for many years in The Salvation Army Texas Divisional Band, traveling to Mexico, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Belize, Cuba and Colombia and served as Divisional Music Director for The Salvation Army in Texas. 

Major Francina serves as the Associate Area Coordinator of The Salvation Army in Collier.  She holds a B.A. degree in Math/Science from Eastern Oregon State College, a B.S. degree in Child Health Associate Science from the University of Colorado Medical School and in 1975 became nationally certified as a Physician’s Assistant in Pediatrics.  Major Francina Proctor was commissioned and ordained in The Salvation Army in 1979 in Rancho Palos Verdes, California. Her service includes staff/faculty positions in the Western College for Officer Training; two months service in 1980 providing emergency aid to Cambodian War refugee children; one year’s service as a Physician’s Assistant in Flushing, New York at The Salvation Army’s Booth Memorial Hospital; three years on the faculty at The Salvation Army’s College for Officer Training in Atlanta, Georgia and more than 20 years as a married Corps Officer (pastor and administrator) in the Southern Territory.

The Proctors have two daughters: Kally Juarez, with husband Luis and son Joshua, presently living in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico; and Kaylene Baker, a Children’s Pastor with husband, Mark, a Youth Pastor both at River of Life Church in Abilene, TX.

Advisory Board

The Salvation Army Naples Corps Advisory Board is made up of business and community leaders who provide wisdom, involvement, and support to the work and programs of the Corps.

Board members assist Officers and Staff in dealing with, identifying, and solving complex community needs, changing funding trends, and work to connect the Army to the larger community in meaningful ways.
