Road to recovery
The day I came into the Harbor Light Center, I wasn’t sure where my life was going to go, being sober from drugs only days at that point I was full of doubts and low self esteem. Coming into the program that day I was embraced by staff and clients and made to feel safe, something I hadn’t felt in a long time. Though the first weeks here were very emotional for me, in time with patience I was taught the value of living drug free and all the benefits that come along with living sober. Harbor Light also provided the spiritual side of recovery that is essential to remaining in recovery and for me allowed me to grow as an addict in recovery. This program has provide N/A meetings for me to attend since I couldn’t go out to attend them and several classes to prepare me to live life on life’s terms, and gave me the courage to make amends with my family and move forward in life. I believe without the Harbor Light Center I would have never gotten my life back. Thank you!
