The Center of Hope provides two meals a day, breakfast and supper, to thousands of homeless and low income people in Marion County and is open 365 days a year.  The meals offer balanced nutrition to those in the community who would otherwise go hungry.

Emergency Shelter
For the homeless and victims of tragedies, The Center of Hope provides a critical safety net for them.  Emergency shelter is available for men, women, and children.  There are 42 beds in the men's dorm and 19 in the women's dorm.  We offer three rooms for short term occupancy for families with children.

Transitional Housing
There are 6 temporary housing units for families who have become homeless due to job loss or other tragedy.  The Center offers a safe and secure home for families along with three meals a day, laundry facilities, day care, and limited transportation.  Adults can work or further their education to help pave the way for eventually securing permanent accommodations.

The ALPHA Program is geared to help single men and women to take a new direction in life.  Those in the dormitories who want to make a new start by holding a job or furthering their education are given the opportunity to do so in this program.

The Homeless Resource Center
The dedicated staff at The Homeless Resource Center provides for male and female daytime sleeping accommodations for those who work at night, personal hygiene items, clothing vouchers, case management, and referrals to other agencies for help not readily available through The Salvation Army.

Through collaboration with other agencies, we are able to provide free weekly HIV testing, weekly mental health counseling, and on-line connection with CLM Workforce Connection.  Also available, are laundry and shower facilities for the homeless who do not stay in the dormitories, daily storage for personal items of those who do not live in the shelter, VA counseling, a message center and assistance with filing disability claims through the Social Security Administration and Veterans Administration.

Family Emergency Services
This service is designed to assist families attempting to keep their homes, jobs, and livelihoods.  Family Services provides help with food, clothing, and furniture.  If qualified, assistance in paying a utility bill may be given when funds are available to help families successfully deal with a difficult time in their lives.
