Disaster Volunteers
The Salvation Army Oklahoma City recognizes that volunteers are the backbone of any disaster relief operation. The best volunteers are trained volunteers. We offer training at our Annual Division Disaster Conference as well as through the State Emergency Management Training Program.
Places you can offer volunteer support include:
Canteen Volunteers - prepare and serve food
Command Post - communications, office support, transportation and public relations
Receiving and Distribution Warehouse - sorting and distributing goods, verifying victims, greeting.
For more information on how you can be a disaster volunteer, contact Ernie Potter at The Salvation Army Oklahoma City Metropolitan Area Command at 405-246-1100.
