The Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary

The Oklahoma City Metropolitan Area Command Women's Auxiliary functions as a fund raising and volunteer service group, assisting The Salvation Army in meeting the needs of others at the point of need.

The Women's Auxiliary touches the lives of thousands of Oklahomans through its participation in The Salvation Army outreach programs and projects in our community, working miracles every day with a "Heart to God and a Hand to Man."

As Women's Auxiliary members, some of the experiences you will have working in the ranks of The Salvation Army will touch you... or move you. The Holy Spirit is at work in Oklahoma City, and The Salvation Army is but a reflection of the message of the gospel. For more information, contact Major Belinda Hill at 405-246-1113.

 How to Get Involved

There are times in your life when you see an opportunity to help others in your community or you feel moved to give something back to others.

The Salvation Army offers many ways for you to help. The Oklahoma City Metropolitan Area Command works year-round to serve Oklahoma City, Edmond, Midwest City and other surrounding towns in Oklahoma County. We need volunteers to assist us in our regular services, as well as during emergencies.

Join The Salvation Army in our Christian mission to help all those in need. Share your special gifts with us and become a part of the solution for a better community.

Whether it is a one-time project or a long-term relationship, we welcome you to become a part of the solution to solve homelessness, hunger and illness of the body, mind and spirit.

To become a volunteer, contact The Salvation Army Oklahoma City Metropolitan Area Command's Volunteer Coordinator at 405-246-1101.

Volunteers Needed for Christmas/Thanksgiving

The Central Oklahoma Salvation Army Area Command is currently taking volunteers to help serve Thanksgiving dinner to the community on Thanksgiving Day.

In addition, Bellringing opportunities begin Nov. 27 at various locations. Help be a part of the magic of Christmas by ringing The Salvation Army bells at your favorite stores. Money raised goes toward feeding the hungry, sheltering the homeless, reaching out to elderly and children and providing hope to those in serious situations.

The Christmas Distribution Center is also in need of volunteers to help intake toys from The Angel Tree program. Fifty volunteers will be needed daily from Dec. 3 to 18 and three time slots are available each day.

Can you help? If so, please contact Lois Green, volunteer coordinator, at 405-246-1101 or lois_green@uss.salvationarmy.org.
