Local Leaders: Majors Mark and Rhea Woodcock, Area Commanders
Major Woodcock was born in Salisbury, Maryland, and graduated from The
Salvation Army College for Officer’s Training in Atlanta, Georgia
(Salvation Army seminary). Having been an Officer/Minister for over 20
years.
Most recently, Major Mark A. Woodcock was the Memphis Area Commander (Executive Director) of a seven-county area, organizing disaster services, shelters for women and children, recovery centers, daycares and two Corps worship facilities.
Major Woodcock is a second-generation Officer (Minister) and Salvationist (member of The Salvation Army). His wife, Rhea Dawn, is a third-generation Officer and a fourth-generation Salvationist. Together they have served in the following appointments with The Salvation Army:

- Jackson, MS
- Divisional Headquarters Jackson, MS Area Command
- Memphis, TN Area Command
Major Woodcock and his wife were married in 1980 and have two children, Ashlee and Ali.
The Woodcocks were appointed to the Orlando Area Command in June 2012.
