Empty Stocking Kids

The Empty Stocking Fund, sponsored by The News Herald and Bill Cramer Chevrolet (formerly Tommy Thomas Chevrolet), is an annual fundraising event that raises awareness of the need for support of The Salvation Army's programs and services.  Information regarding programs and services are found in other pages of this website.

How does it work?

The News Herald will begin placing full page ads in their paper promoting the Fund and sharing the goal to be reached.  Twice during the holiday season special envelopes are included with the newspaper.

Donors place their contributions in the envelope and:

1. Mail it to The Salvation Army at: P.O. Box 540, Panama City, FL 32402 in the provided envelope.

2. Hand deliver it to The Salvation Army @ 1824 W. 15th Street, Panama City, FL.

3. Hand deliver it to the News Herald office.

Salvation Army staff process the contributions, give an update to the News Herald on those who have contributed.  The News Herald regularly publishes those names. (Donors can choose to remain anonymous)
