The Community Center is open 6 days a week to provide a number of services to both youth and adults in our community at little or no charge. While most of the programs are geared for school aged children, time can be arranged for use by adults as well. For more information call Buddy Keen at 432-1501.
Academic Enrichment Program
The Salvation Army offers a variety of ways to help students improve their lives through education. We provide a computer room, tutoring services, homework assistance, and preparation for ACT/SAT & FCAT testing.
Team Sports Programs
The Community Center sponsors several team sports programs including AAU Touch Football, AAU Basketball, and AAU Track.
Game Room
The Community Center's game room has a pool table, foosball table, air hockey table, ping pong table, and a bumper pool table.
Gymnasium
Also in the community center is a full size basketball gym which is open for pick-up games, team practice and team games.
Heated Swimming Pool
The Salvation Army has one of the few indoor heated swimming pools in the county. We offer water aerobic classes for adults and open swim times for youth.
Summer Day Camp
"Today Is The First Day Of The Rest Of Your Life" is the theme for this year's Summer Day Camp. Registration is now being taken during regular Community Center Hours (see back page). Day Camp runs from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. starting Monday, June 8th through Friday August 7th. The cost for this is $30.00 per week per child. Ages 6-12.
