Richmond International Raceway (RIR) Partners with The Salvation Army for Donuts of Hope Campaign
Central Virginia Area Commander and RIR President to Deliver Donut "Thank You's" to Track Workers and Fans on Friday
On Friday, April 27th, Salvation Army Central Virginia Area Commander, Captain David Worthy, and RIR President, Dennis Bickmeier will ride around in a golf cart providing workers, early race guests, corporate supporters and race teams donuts made locally at Daylight Donuts, as a "thank you" for helping to make Richmond's race such a huge success.
These donuts are being provided through The Salvation Army's Donuts of Hope campaign; a new and exciting initiative that aims to raise money through local businesses and supporters to fund Army programs throughout Central Virginia.
DONUTS OF HOPE:
From now through May 18th, The Salvation Army is encouraging businesses, associations, school groups and civic organizations to support its mission of "Doing the Most Good" by committing to purchase an allotment of donuts online at DonutsOfHope.org.
Individuals and companies can purchase dozens of donuts for $12, and corporate packages also are available (supporting packages include dozens of donuts that can be used to reward employees, treat clients or extend a "thank you" to customers - the packages also include a donation to The Salvation Army to provide life-sustaining services to those in need).
