The Salvation Army Community Education Center Current Class Schedule
The Salvation Army Community Education Center (CEC) aims to provide individuals with the necessary skills to succeed and enrich their lives with the goal of gaining independence and becoming self-sufficient.
All courses are $50, with the exception of GED Prep and Keyboarding, which are offered free of charge. Some scholarships are available!
Current class offerings include:
July 25th - August 19th:
GED Prep; Tuesdays and Thursdays 6 to 8p.m.
Reading Literacy; Mondays and Fridays 1 to 3p.m.
Focus on improving your reading skills
Basic Computer Skills; Tuesdays 9a.m. to Noon or Tuesdays 6 to 8p.m.
Learn the skills you need to be able to use and enjoy computers in today's world
Basic Computer Skills Part II; Fridays 1 to 4p.m.
Learn the power of the internet and email and how to keep your computer secure
Resume & Interview Skills; Mondays 9a.m. to Noon
Prepare yourself for the interview to land the job of your dreams
MS Excel; Wednesdays 9a.m. to Noon or Thursdays 6 to 8p.m.
Learn how to use this spreadsheet application
MS Word; Thursdays 9a.m. to Noon
Learn your way around this word processing program
MS PowerPoint; Fridays 9a.m. to Noon
Use your creative side to develop slide shows using PowerPoint
Keyboarding; Tuesdays 1 to 4p.m,
