The Petersburg Corps for Worship and Service, located at 1228 S. West Street in Petersburg, offers activities such as Vacation Bible School and other programs that offer mentoring for families to help strengthen the family and build skills in budgeting, literacy, employment, parenting, community resources, etc.
CORPS ACTIVITIES
The Salvation Army is a church with religious programs for all ages. The Army has the following program opportunities:
- Sunday School: 10:00 a.m. Sundays
- Worship Service: 11 a.m. Sundays
- Music 5:30 p.m. Tuesdays
- Character Building: 6:30 p.m. Tuesday
- Bible Study : 6 p.m. Wednesday
- Women's Group: Noon Mondays
Character Building activities include Praise Dance, Recreation, Sunbeams, Girl Guards, and Adventure Corps (scouting programs), and Bible Study. Women's Group has a four-fold emphasis of Worship, Fellowship, Education and Service.
