The Salvation Army Church Hill Outpost cordially invites the community to join us for worship services in celebration of God every Saturday afternoon from Noon to 4 p.m. at The Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club, 3701 R Street in Richmond.
In addition, The Salvation Army Church Hill Outpost on R Street also offers Christian programming for people of all ages, including:
Adventure Corps, a Christian education and development program designed for boys in grades 1 through 8. It is divided into two sections and each section takes boys through a series of achievement badges and levels, helping them develop their individuality and potential. Meets on Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m.
Girl Guards, a Scout-type program for girls in grades 6 through 12 with a focus on helping them learn about themselves and their expanding world. It guides them toward spiritual, physical and social well being, and helps them understand their potential as individuals. Educational trips and camping experiences are also an important component of this program. Meets on Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m.
Sunbeams, a Scout-type program open to girls in the first through fifth grades. The Christian girls groups offer a variety of interest areas designed for girls of this age group such as, Arts and skills, Health, Nature, Service, Personal Growth, Animals, Friendships, and People. Meets on Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m.
Home League, is a Women's Ministry program for all women ages 16 and up. All denominations are welcome. Meets on Wednesdays at 11:30 p.m.
League of Mercy, is a program where Salvationists (Church members) and volunteers visit prisons, hospitals and nursing homes bringing the gospel and rendering practical aid.
Men's Club, is a non-denominational men's fellowship program for men ages 16 and up. Meets on Fridays at 6:30 p.m.
Membership in The Salvation Army Church is not required to attend or participate in these fellowship opportunities. These programs emphasize education, fellowship, service and worship.
